Protein Packed Yogurt Bowl to Start Your Day

Updated: Oct 29, 2023

This post has been sponsored by Light + Fit.   All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Breakfast is a part of my daily self-care routine, but in my house with a busy toddler and a full-blown kid and a husband, there are a lot of competing priorities. Finding nutritious foods to kick off my morning routine can be challenging at best especially when you’re preparing several different morning meals for different needs. When it comes time to prepare my breakfast, I am already exhausted. But, I recently found out about the NEW Light + Fit Collagen & Antioxidant Nonfat Yogurt and I think I solved the answer to my breakfast challenges.

If I have the chance, I love to put on a face mask while I enjoy my delicious yogurt bowl to further practice self-care. I love this Light + Fit yogurt because it has variety: Raspberry Lime, Kiwi Mango, Cherry Black Currant, Tangerine Grapefruit, with these incredible flavors, there’s something for everyone.

It is also:

  • the first National yogurt brand with collagen protein

  • full of antioxidants (vitamins A and E) (the antioxidants values per 5.3 oz serving are formulated with 20% DV Vitamin A and Vitamin E

  • an excellent source of protein (15g total protein, 2g of which are collagen protein per 5.3 oz)

  • a yogurt option that includes 6g of total sugar with 0g added sugar* per serving) (*Not a low calorie food)

You can eat it as a snack or pair it with fruit, and a whole grain cereal or granola to make a balanced breakfast and a pretty epic yogurt bowl, like I did pictured.

Yogurt Bowl Recipe

Step 1: Pick out 2-3 of your favorite fruits (mango, berries, bananas, kiwi)

Step 2:  Pick out a granola or cereal

Step 3: Add a nut or a seed (sunflower, almonds and/ or chia)

Step 4: Find a topping to drizzle (Nutella, peanut butter or honey)

I love using Light + Fit Collagen & Antioxidant Nonfat Yogurt in the Cherry Black Currant flavor. Place the yogurt at the base of the bowl, add fruit, granola, your choice of nut or seed, drizzle and eat.

You can also add another form of dairy/protein or protein power to make a smoothie (if you would like it a bit colder).

You can prep your ingredients at night and put it in an airtight container/ bags so that you can drop the fruit and granola into the yogurt in the morning and be ready to go!

When I am feeding my body, I am helping to start my day on a positive note and I am so happy I can honor myself with a nutritious breakfast that is jam packed with protein and vitamins I love, including 2 grams of collagen. I hope this inspires you to make sure you’re doing the same for yourself and starting your mornings off on a great note.

With strength, courage and wisdom,

Tash
